About Us
JUDr. Jan Březina, MLaw (attorney-at-law)
JUDr. Jan Březina, MLaw, graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague (Mgr.) as well as the Faculty of Law of the University of Zurich (MLaw). Subsequently, he was awarded a juris doctor degree (JUDr.) at the Charles University. Being active in advocacy since 2015, he started to work in a Prague branch of an international law firm, following by a position in a leading Czech law firm. After passing the bar exam, he founded an independent law firm.JUDr. Březina focuses on civil (litigation, contracts, real estate, inheritance law) as well as criminal law (defense, representation of injured parties, assistance to victims of a crime etc.). However, he also provides legal services in the area of commercial, labour, administrative, constitutional as well as international law.
As one of a few Czech attorneys, he also specialises in Swiss law including representation in front of Swiss courts. Regarding that, he also cooperates with Czech courts as a judicial expert ad hoc pro obor švýcarské právo.
He is a member of the Disciplinary Commission of the Czech Bar Association.
He speaks Czech, English, German, Polish and French.
JUDr. Katarzyna Krzysztyniak, Ph.D.,(attorney-at-law)
JUDr. Katarzyna Krzysztyniak, Ph.D., graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague where she was awarded a juris doctor degree (JUDr.) and subsequently passed through postgraduate studies (Ph.D.). Being active in advocacy since 2006, she started as an associate and continue as an attorney-at-law in a leading Czech law firm. Starting from 2017, she has been providing legal services in her own law firm.JUDr. Krzysztyniak focuses on criminal law (defense, representation of injured parties, assistance to victims of a crime etc.). However, she also provides legal services in the area of civil law (focusing on damage compensation), family, labour and administrative law.
She is member of the bodies of the Czech Bar Association, Union of Defense Lawyer, Czech Helsinki Committee, Section for the Criminal Law of the Czech Bar Association as well as the Committee of the Legal Attorney’s Confidentiality.
She speaks Czech, Polish and English.

Price
The basic basis for determining our fee is the Attorney's Fee Schedule (Decree No. 177/1996 Coll.). We use this fee schedule unless a different fee arrangement has been agreed upon with the client, particularly in cases involving a one-time legal service.
The second most common fee arrangement is an hourly rate, which we negotiate individually with each client. The hourly rate is CZK 3,000 for less complex matters. For more complex cases, particularly those requiring the application of foreign law and/or the use of a foreign language, the rate is up to CZK 5,000 per hour, depending on the complexity of the matter.
In exceptional cases involving clear hardship or a client's difficult financial situation, we provide our services either at a reduced fee or free of charge (pro bono).
